Truth Worth Living S2E33

Episode Summary

🌟 Welcome back to Truth Worth Living, where we explore God's Word to illuminate our path of living in His divine will! 📖 We've been diving deep into the definition of faith as outlined by the writer of Hebrews: "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1) This definition was crucial for the Hebrew recipients as it addressed their concerns and doubts. The writer has been working tirelessly to reassure them that by sticking with their faith, they will receive everything they seek and more. Hebrews 11 serves as his defense of this position. In our journey through this chapter, the writer starts with two unexpected heroes: Abel and Enoch. Abel's Faith: Worship Abel's faith was revealed through his worship. When instructed by God to bring offerings, Abel gave his best, while his brother Cain offered less. God recognized Abel's faith and righteousness. His life teaches us that true worship is an act of faith in which we declare God's worth through our giving and service. As people of faith, we should develop a lifestyle of worship, offering our all to God. Enoch's Faith: Walking with God Enoch's faith was demonstrated through his walk with God. He walked faithfully with God for 300 years, and then God took him away. In a world where Adam and Eve lost their close relationship with God, Enoch prioritized walking with Him. His life teaches us that the ultimate purpose of humanity is to be in a deep relationship with God, which is attainable through faith in Jesus. The common thread between these heroes is that faith should be demonstrated in both our walk and our worship. When we live this out, we please God, and He rewards our faithfulness. Hebrews 11:6: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." God rewards our faith when we persist in it. This truth is not only worth knowing but also worth living! Join us on this remarkable faith journey as we continue to explore the heroes of faith. 🌟🙏 #FaithHeroes #TruthWorthLiving #Hebrews11
